Have you ever thought, ‘I
need my own business’? You may be tired of working for someone else, of always
having to depend on other people for a raise in your income.
Not everyone is cut out to
have their own business and that’s ok. You need to be able to be a
self-starter, to keep going even when things are not going how you want them
to, and you need to be able to keep your business organized.
Some people can't do these
things. There are some people who prefer to go to a job and have someone tell
them what’s expected. They do the job and go home, collect the weekly paycheck
and it’s all good.
Then there are the people
who want more from life than the 9 to 5. They want to be more in control of how
their time is spent.
If you are like this and
you are able to be a leader and make decisions, you would probably do well in
your own business. There is a lot of satisfaction in starting with an idea and
making a business out of it.
So you say, ‘I need my own
business’, but do you realize it’s not going to be easy? It will be hard some
days, some days you will be riding high, and some days you will wonder why you
ever thought it was a good idea!
Most of the money you earn
initially will have to go back into building the business. This is why a lot of
people keep their 9 to 5 job at first and work on building their own business
on the side. You may also be able to make a lot of contacts at a job that will
help you in your business down the road.
Eventually, you will have
your business built up to the point where you can quit your job and put 100% of
your effort and focus on your own business. Many people have had the thought, ‘
I need my own business’. Some of them have acted on it and went on to great success. Some think about it, but never try it. Which category do you fall
into?
